Need support at home due to a life-limiting illness? We're here for you. Our dedicated team offers practical, emotional, and social support for all ages facing conditions like cancer, neurological, kidney, heart, liver, or lung diseases.
Our volunteers offer individualised care in your home that is not already provided by professional services. Our In Home Hospice Care prioritises your comfort and well-being, addressing emotional, spiritual, and social needs. We aim to enhance your quality of life and that of your loved ones. We believe in empowering choices, including the option to stay at home surrounded by cherished memories and loved ones. Our personalised care considers your unique needs, values, and preferences, ensuring a supportive and compassionate experience.
As a client of our In Home Hospice service, you will be assigned a volunteer/volunteers who will visit you at negotiated times. Your volunteer will understand that your needs may vary from visit to visit.
Our volunteers offer practical assistance and respite support to individuals and their families. They do not administer medication or provide medical advice but focus on tasks like providing breaks for caregivers and assisting with other helpful tasks within their scope and our care guidelines.
Our volunteers can help with:
- Shopping
- Getting to appointments
- Maintaining social activities
- Companionship and support to both the clients and the carers.
- Giving family members/carers some time out or ‘respite’.
- Assistance in preserving as much independence, comfort and dignity as possible.
