Supporting Home Care – Empowering Caregivers - At the end of their life, many people wish to die at home, surrounded by loved ones. This gives their partner, family members, and friends—their care network—a chance to spend precious time together, cherishing old memories and creating new ones.
How We Can Help - Caring for a loved one at home is a deeply meaningful and rewarding experience, but it can also be challenging and exhausting. It is important to be prepared for the practical, physical, and emotional demands of caring for a person with a life-limiting illness. Our Carer Education program will offer three one-hour sessions that will provide fundamental knowledge and practical skills for home caregiving.
The program will cover strategies for managing common end-of-life symptoms, medication handling, effective communication with healthcare professionals, and will emphasize the importance of self-care and well-being.
